We are delighted to welcome two new members to our team: Jack Mitchell and Krish Bommanaboyina.

Jack Mitchell, Trainee Engineer

Jack is currently studying for an MEng Fire Engineering at the University of Central Lancashire. After thoroughly enjoying his recent Summer Placement with us, he decided to join DFC in a part-time role while he continues his academic studies.

Jack developed an interest in Fire Engineering during his time as a Fire Cadet with Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, where he gained a wealth of skills in practical firefighting and leadership, achieving the rank of Cadet Watch Manager. This experience motivated him to pursue Fire Engineering after his A-Levels.

Outside of work and study, Jack is a fencing coach who has competed at national level. He is also the chairman of the fencing club at his university. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, supporting his local football club and playing five-a-side football.

Krish Bommanaboyina, Graduate Engineer

Krish holds a Bachelor’s degree (BTech) in Civil Engineering from India and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Structural Engineering from the University of Manchester. During his master’s studies, he developed a keen interest in Structural Fire Engineering, which has shaped his professional focus.

Before joining DFC, Krish gained experience in Structural Fire Engineering, particularly in conducting structural fire assessments and performance-based design analysis. His experience includes using finite element analysis (FEA) for Thermo-structural analysis, where he deepened his understanding of how structures respond under fire conditions.

As a Graduate Engineer at DFC, Krish looks forward to expanding his expertise in Fire Safety and Structural Fire Engineering and contribute to safer, more efficient building designs.

In his free time, Krish enjoys cooking, playing cricket, travelling and exploring new places.
