Design Fire Consultants (DFC) is pleased to announce its expansion into the Midlands with the opening of a new office in Birmingham and the appointment of fire safety industry leader Rav Dhanjal as the new Director.

This expansion marks a key milestone in DFC’s strategic growth and underlines our commitment to supporting clients across the region with specialised fire safety consultancy advice.

Rav joins DFC following more than 19 years at Arup, where he held senior roles within the fire engineering team. A Chartered Engineer awarded through the Institution of Fire Engineers and a highly respected figure within the industry, Rav brings over 35 years of engineering experience, with 28 of those years focused specifically on fire engineering. Rav has led the fire strategies for some of the world’s most complex infrastructure and healthcare projects.

DFC has been supporting a number of major projects in Birmingham, including the redevelopment of Edgbaston Stadium’s Skyline Terrace, the recently completed Corkfield Residences, the Goodsyard, and the Essington Street development – all of which highlight DFC’s deep sector expertise and practical, performance-led approach.
