Stephen has led and contributed to the fire safety design for a diverse range of projects in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East. His experience in fire safety engineering ranges from project inception through design development to construction and operational management. This includes project (fire safety) management through the design and the regulatory approval process.

With a background in architecture, he offers a design understanding supported by a foundation in legislative requirements and prescriptive guidance. This enables the holistic application of performance based fire engineering to positively contribute to the design process.

Through proactive design assessment based on an understanding of architectural and user aspirations, he shares the DFC initiative of seeking a collaborative design process in delivering safe and efficient designs that meet the needs of all stakeholders.
