Nurul Anuar
Graduate Engineer
Nurul holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from University College London (UCL). During her studies, she developed a strong foundation in fire dynamics through a dedicated safety module and undertook a major project evaluating plant risk ratings using methodologies such as HAZOP and Fault Tree Analysis. Her experience comprised designing alarm system for chemical plants, providing a solid foundation for her transition into fire engineering.
In her final year, Nurul joined an electrochemical research group focused on battery safety, investigating battery failure mechanisms to inform safer design strategies. Beyond academia, she has also supported accessibility initiatives in workshop environments and engaged with high-rise fire safety efforts within a council estate community. These experiences highlighted the human dimension of fire safety and continue to shape her engineering approach.
