Fergus Hamilton-Blackett

Senior Engineer

Fergus joined Design Fire consultants in September 2021 and is based in our London office.

He holds an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Fergus was first exposed to fire safety engineering during a six-month industrial placement with an environmental building services engineering company where he worked on large scale residential developments. This initial interest in fire safety engineering was developed through a number of elective courses at university, including an insight to current fire safety legislation and associated guidance.

Fergus’ background in mechanical engineering, paired with experience working in MEP design on large scale residential projects, allows him to bring both a fresh perspective and a holistic approach to his projects at DFC.
