Project Description
Greenhaus is the largest ‘Passivhaus Classic’ certified development in the region. Situated opposite the Salford Cathedral, Greenhaus comprises of a mixture of one and two-bedroom homes over nine-storeys. The scheme delivers exceptional thermal comfort, improved air quality and reduced energy bills through insulation, triple glazing and air source heat pumps. Greenhaus includes 96 affordable homes, including 11 for social rent, 13 for affordable rent and 72 available under the Rent to Buy scheme.
While the airtight building envelope helps to minimise energy consumption, it can also present fire risks. To address this, DFC implements robust fire safety measures, including fire-resistant materials, advanced suppression systems, and comprehensive emergency evacuation procedures.
