Graduate Engineer

Aswathi joined DFC as a Graduate. She holds a Master’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering from Ulster University, Belfast, and a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Fire Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology in India.

With two years of experience as an Assistant Manager in HSE and Fire Safety at an alumina refinery, Aswathi oversaw the facility’s safety operations. Her Master’s dissertation, titled “Optimisation of Longitudinal Ventilation in Tunnels: A CFD Study on the Influence of Fire Load and Jet Fan Characteristics for Enhanced Smoke Management”, highlights her understanding of fire dynamics and tunnel safety, exploring how various design parameters of jet fans and fire loads affect tunnel fire safety.
