DFC is strengthening its presence in Scotland, with our new Edinburgh base supporting clients across the region with specialist fire engineering, fire safety and building safety expertise.
As our presence in Edinburgh develops, we are bringing the same technical expertise, practical approach and collaborative way of working that clients across the UK already know from DFC. With experience across a wide range of sectors and building types, our team works with developers, architects, project managers and other construction professionals to help deliver safe, practical and well-considered buildings.
Supporting Clients Across Scotland
Scotland has been an important part of DFC’s project portfolio for many years. Our growing presence in Edinburgh allows us to build on that experience, strengthen relationships with clients and industry partners and provide a more local point of contact for projects across Scotland.
Our fire engineering consultants provide advice throughout the design and construction process, from early-stage fire strategies through to detailed fire engineering, fire safety and building safety advice.
We have already supported projects throughout Scotland and are looking forward to building upon those relationships whilst developing connections with new clients and collaborators across the region.
Our Connection with Edinburgh
Edinburgh provides a strong base for DFC’s continued development in Scotland, with an established construction, development and higher education sector.
Our relationship with the University of Edinburgh goes beyond graduate recruitment and our annual CPD programme. More recently, DFC worked with the University’s Fire Research Centre on CladFire, a collaborative research project exploring the fire behaviour of different cladding and insulation materials. The project brought together DFC’s industry experience and the university’s research expertise to create an accessible evidence base for fire safety professionals. It is a good example of the kind of collaboration and knowledge-sharing that has helped build our connection with Edinburgh over many years.
These relationships have helped us build strong connections within Scotland’s fire engineering and academic communities and provide a natural foundation for our growing presence in Edinburgh.

Building Our Presence in Scotland
Our Edinburgh presence is being led by Senior Engineer Agboola Ogunleye, who recently relocated from Manchester to Edinburgh to help establish DFC’s presence in the city.
Agboola has spent the past five years developing his career at DFC, working across a range of projects and building his experience as a fire engineer. His move to Edinburgh marks the next stage of that journey and an important step in DFC’s development in Scotland. We recently sat down with Agboola to reflect on his first five years at DFC, the lessons he has learned along the way and what this next chapter means for him.
