Kajanan Selvaranjan

Graduate Engineer | Structural Fire Engineering

Kajanan Selvaranjan was recently awarded a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield, in collaboration with EDF Energy UK. His research explored how nuclear concrete behaves when exposed to high temperatures and mechanical loading, with a particular focus on the performance of nuclear concrete structures in fire.

Prior to joining DFC, Kajanan gained valuable applied research experience investigating how high temperatures affect the properties and performance of concrete. He is passionate about contributing to more resilient fire engineering solutions. His academic and research background provides a strong foundation for developing his skills in performance-based structural fire engineering on complex projects.
